Impressions from EAST 2019

Exhibition, dialogue platform, signpost and driver for the energy storage region of Central Germany - that was EAST 2019! After the welcoming address by Michael Kynast, Managing Director of Messe Erfurt GmbH, Prof. Dr. Ulrich S. Schubert and Olaf Möller, State Secretary of the Thuringian Ministry for the Environment, Energy and Nature Conservation; Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Michael Stelter, Deputy Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems (IKTS) and Peer Steinbrück, former Federal Minister, gave lectures on the topics "Energy storage in Germany with a focus on Central Germany - status and prospects" and "Has the energy transition failed?" A special point in the scientific program was the workshop on "New Technologies", in which Prof. Dr. Ulrich S. Schubert gave the opening lecture on "Polymer-based Batteries".
